Nice shop, really friendly and helpful people. Stopped in with my kids to get a couple fish and ask a couple questions and they were very patient with the kids and knowledgeable regarding my questions.
I had a part break on my canister filter, Centreville Aquarium is at least 30 minutes away from me so I wanted to make sure they had the part before drove to the store. I called the store and asked if they had the part in stock after verifying the part and the model the part was for, the employee stated that they had the part in stock. As soon as I got off the phone, I drove to the store to get the part.Once I arrived at the store I looked around the store to try to find the part myself as well as grab a few other things I needed. After about 5 minutes, an employee finally asked if there was something he could help with.He looked around for a few minutes tried to give me the wrong part and finally went and got another employee. They both looked around a little more and told me Yeah, we dont have that it stock. I explained that I had called less than an hour ago and was told it was in stock. He just responded with maybe they misheard the part you were looking for? Im assuming these were the only two employees in the store, but they both acted like they had no idea what I was talking about when I said I had called to make sure the part was in stock. I asked if there was a manager I could speak to and the employee just responded with No... not right now and then went about his business.I left the rest of the stuff I was going to purchase and will have to go with a more reliable store. Ill definitely be looking elsewhere for my aquarium supplies.
Came in with my wife about an hour before closing to look at their selection of African Chiclids. A basic selection similar to what "everyone else" carries but they did have a few tanks with some nice Peacocks and other rare Africans.....and by rare I mean to the NOVA area fish stores. Staff was friendly and helpful, asked if I needed help when I walked in but let me browse without over doing the customer service. I ended up purchasing 5 fish, all of which are doing quite well in their new home! The new aquarium selection is generous and the supplies for fish keeping are broad as well. I recommend stopping though if you're close enough.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Stuff is a bit more expensive than at a chain petstore but the fish are healthier and they have a wider variety. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for natural aquarium/terrarium decorations. Lots of different stones and woods.
